Hire and zero emissions agreement between Renault and Europcar

The zero-emission mobility enters the rental market. Europcar's fleet will soon be expanded with new electric cars produced by Renault. The French and the rental companies have announced at the recent Frankfurt Motor Show in their joint commitment on the road to Zero Emission Mobility. By 2011, Renault will offer a full range of electric vehicles ZEV.

The new electric cars for hire on average 60 km run through a day without emitting CO2 or particulates. They are also very quiet. According to research by Renault, today 80% of Europeans travel less than 60 kilometers per day.

"Thanks to its Zero Emission Mobility program, Renault will propose, in 2011, a full range of zero-emission vehicles. As already written in other articles on this site, we have the impression that Renault is really taking it seriously in the market for electric cars and cars with zero emissions. The agreement between Renault and Europcar is another important step toward the ZEV mobility and electric cars.

Renting an 'electric car will soon be reality. Europcar , a company famous throughout Europe as a leader in short-term hiring of vans and cars, has decided to participate in the project " Renault Zero Emission "to offer its customers electric vehicles manufactured by the French car: everything will be possible from 2011. In its 2,500 rental stations in Europe, together with the fleet of electric cars, Europcar will undertake to make available, control boxes and all the infrastructure necessary to recharge the batteries.

  According to research by Renault, today 80% of Europeans travel less than 60 miles a day, a mobility that is perfectly suited to the use of electric vehicles. Hence the project signed by Europcar car rent and Renault that will allow everyone to have cars that do not emit any noise or emissions, or CO2, or NOx, or particulate matter.
